Dwight C. Ames, 72, passed away on September 18, 2017 in Pocatello, Idaho. He was born on July 30, 1945 in Preston, Idaho to Owen and Drucilla Ames, Preston, ID.

Dwight graduated from Preston High School in 1963, and received his Master’s degree in 1975. He married Lorene Call of Logan, UT on September 16, 1963. Together they had a son, Roderick. Dwight joined the Air Force on September 20, 1963 and retired as a Major in June of 1991.

He enjoyed education, teaching and his daily martini. He had a great love of dogs.

Dwight is survived by his wife, Lorene; son, Rod (Terri); grandchildren, Trevor, Cali and Nina; sister, Thedora; and brother, Dennis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Drucilla Ames; and his In-Laws, Harold and Ilah Rogers.

Graveside services were held on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 11 am at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5th Ave. Pocatello, ID 83204.
