Gertrude A. Laeupple, 89, Hibbing, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 1996, in Leisure Hills Health Center in Hibbing. She was born in Oaklee, Minn.
She grew up and attended school in Rhoda and Dennison, Minn. On May 29, 1926, she was married Carl L. Laeupple in Chisholm. They lived in Monroe Location in Chisholm until making their home on their farm near Hibbing.
She worked at Hibbing General Hospital, and was an active member of the Assembly of God Church, Hibbing.
Her parents were William and Mary Skreland Swanson. Her husband, Carl, died in 1972.
Gertrude is survived by her daughters: Colleen Tagg, Grace Samuelson, Carol Johnson, Fern Chandler and Marlene Chandler; sons: Eugene, and Rev. Ron L.; 23 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
