Daughter of "Samuel Platon and Anna Long" (see Death Registration, but mother's memorial gives Mendham and there is a consistent christening record giving Mendham - note daughter in law was Mercie Long and she or her husband may have been completing the form). Birthdate alternately 4 January. Arrived in Canada in 1840. See: 1901 Canada Census and Ontario Death Registrations.
