Junior was born on Wednesday, September 28, 1938 in Vian, Oklahoma to Lester and Lottie Belle (Gragg) Tackett. Junior passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the age of 78.

Junior attended Union High School. He was employed with Meadowbrook Country Club for 31 years where he was a member of the original construction crew and retired as Course Superintendent. He then worked an additional 21 years at Cedar Ridge Country Club before officially ending his years of golf course service.

On January 8, 1960 Junior married the love of his life, Patsy “Pat” Buckmaster in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Their union was blessed with three children and 57 years and 8 months of love and devotion. Junior was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He adored his family and loved spending time with them.

In his spare time, Junior loved to be outdoors whether it was golfing, hunting, fishing or just taking care of his well-manicured lawn. Junior was witty and loved to make people laugh. He was a constant jokester, and always had a smile on his face. Junior was also a talented guitarist who played not only as a hobby but also throughout the years in church. Junior was a proud member of the Coweta Assembly.

Junior is survived by, Wife, Pat Tackett, Coweta, OK Children, Lisa Williams and husband Russell, Coweta, OK, Denise Tackett, Coweta, OK, Brad Tackett and wife Angie, Coweta, OK, Grandchildren, Aaron and Kari, Ryan and Ashlee, Josh and Tammy, Heather, Joey, Maddie, Taylor and Austin, Great Grandchildren, Corbin, Claire, Audra, Ayva, Tristan, Karsyn, Jastyn, Brothers, R.D. Tackett and wife Norma June, Broken Arrow, OK, Paul Tackett and wife, Marilyn, Wagoner, OK, Donnie Tackett and wife Cleta, Moody, OK, Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins

Junior was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Dortha, Delores and Louella and two brothers, James and Jewel.

Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 15, 2017 at Coweta Assembly. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Porter, Oklahoma.
