Davies, Alice Jean Beattie Wardlow - Alice Jean Wardlow Davies, daughter of John Leonard and Audrey Mae (Maples) Beattie, was born on April 9, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri. Alice entered eternal rest on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of sixty-two years, three months and six days.

Alice lived in Maryville, Missouri prior to moving to the Guss area in 1983. In 2009 Alice moved to Corning and was united in marriage to Leo Davies on October 24, 2010. The couple had been together… twenty-six years prior to his death on September 3, 2012.

Alice was a Nurse’s Aide and part of the Direct Care Staff at Midwest Opportunities in Corning, caring for the mentally and physically challenged.

Alice was a member of the Maple Grove United Methodist Church at Guss.

Left to cherish Alice’s memory are her children: Rebecca Davis (fiancé Bill Cozad) of Jefferson, Iowa, Christina Wardlow (significant other Clint Miller) of Corning, Iowa, Kimberly Wardlow (significant other Jimmie Kuhn) of Corning, Iowa and Jeffery (Karina) Wardlow of Lenox, Iowa; three step-daughters: Dr. Kim Davies (husband Michael Millken) of Lenexa, Kansas, Kelli (Curt) Haggey of Burlington Junction, Missouri and Kristi (Kevin) Behrhorst of College Springs, Iowa; step-son, Kris (Lexy) Davies of New Market, Iowa; twenty-three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers: Wayne (Arlene) Beattie of Syracuse, Missouri, Lenny (Jo) Beattie of Lubbock, Texas, Keith (Nancy) Beattie of Clarinda, Iowa and Bob (Maryann) Beattie of Syracuse, New York; sisters: Pat (Earl) Spencer of Kansas City, Kansas and Carol Martin of Henrietta, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Ada Beattie of Maryville, Missouri and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo Davies; brother, Marvin Beattie and brother-in-law, Danny Martin
