She grew up in Chippewa Falls, where she also attended school.
On Oct. 2, 1942, Amy married George Schick at Zion Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls. They resided in Chippewa Falls where Amy raised their children and made their home. He preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 1970
One of Amy's favorite pastimes was decorating. She enjoyed painting the interior of her home and rearranging the furniture to her liking. She loved to dance and collect dolls. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma and great-great-grandma. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include two sons: Harold "Huck" (Willa) Schick of Hawkins, WI and Tom (Marcia) Schick of Cornell, WI;
a brother Harold Eliason of Schofield, WI;
daughter-in-law, Diane (Frank) Schick-Kral of Lake Hallie;
grandchildren: Greg, Brad, Scott, Trish, Shelly, Scott, Stacy, Steve, Samantha and Jennifer;
25 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren;
and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George;
three sisters: Mabel Brown, Hilda Haskins, Marion Fowley;
three brothers: Vernon, Arnold and Algar Eliason;
and a son, Bill Schick in 1996.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 22 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Rick Hoyme of Central Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls, officiating. Interment will be in Prairie View Cemetery, Village of Lake Hallie.
