Married James Alfred Hulsey 28 April 1897 in Carter County, Indian Territory, Oklahoma. James Alfred Hulsey died 24 July 1899.

When Saphronia (Frona) was about to give birth to their first child, her husband James Alfred Hulsey, rode off on a mule in the midst of a thunder storm to get help. While fording a flooded river James was drowned. Their baby, Gracy Mae, died at birth 24 July 1899.

Saphronia (Frona) Jordan married 2nd, James Perry Alvey 20 October 1901 in Sugden, Commanche, now Jefferson county, Oklahoma.
