Barbara was born in Newton on August 4, 1932, the daughter of the late Anthony and Cecelia (Sampson) Nastasia. Until her retirement she had worked in the cafeteria at Waltham Hospital and at Nova Bio-Medical. She is survived by a son and a daughter, a brother and two sisters, 4 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
