We celebrate the life of AJ Dornan. AJ Dornan was born on December 5th, 1928, at the family home in Checotah, Oklahoma. He was a hard working man that provided and cared for his family. He was also a man of faith and was a member of several churches. AJ always held a leadership position in the churches he attended and all of the members looked up to him. His latest membership was with the Carney Assembly of God Church as a Sunday School Superintendent and Deacon.
On September 14th, 2017, in Tuttle, Oklahoma, AJ Dornan left this world to be reunited with his friends and family in Heaven. He strived his whole life to make to the paradise that was promised.
AJ Dornan has been reunited with his father Clarence William Dornan and his mother Hettie Rogenius Ritchie Dornan and all nine of his siblings; Vera Lucille Moore, Floyd William, Levi Lloyd, Minerva Ellendore Beashears, Syble, Paul, Christeen Flora McGee, Johnny Deual, and Rev. Eual James. He is also reunited with his three wives; Uldine Mae Nichols, Nova Johnson, Geneva Thela Nichols. He leaves his four children; Arthur Junior and Carolyn Dornan, Dwight and Doris Jean Wickware, Jimmie Don and Tammie Louise Dornan, and Johnny Paul and Peggy Dornan, ten grandchildren, twenty grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 12:00 Saturday, September 16, 2017 and at 1:00 Sunday September 17, 2017, at the Sunny Lane Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, September 9, 2017, at the Carney Assembly of God Church. Burial will be at 3:00 PM at the Sunny Lane Cemetery.
