Other survivors include his son Tim (Brenda) Levi, Indianapolis; daughters Ginny (Bill) Dowling, Indianapolis, Becki Levi, Rock City, IL; brothers Gerald (Leona) Levi, Bob (Wanda) Levi, and Bill (Patti) Levi, all of Indianapolis; sister Frances Kinslow, Indianapolis; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brother Pete Levi and brother-in-law Ewell Kinslow.
He was a member of Cedar Cross Baptist Church in Allen County, Kentucky and attended Southwood Baptist Church in Beech Grove. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII and later in the U.S. Navy. Buford was employed at Western Electric for 30 years retiring in 1984. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, playing cards with friends, and he was a NASCAR, bluegrass and Colts fan.
