Marvin Brown Abbott, born October 13, 1909, son of Virgil Ernest Abbott and Minnie Camilla Brown Abbott, brother of Charles Ray Abbott. Married Emma Lucille Boatman Abbott on September 13, 1947. Father of Judith Carol Abbott Lowe, Joan Elise Abbott Bara, Ray Allen Abbott and John Ernest Abbott. Eight grandchildren; John Glenn Lowe, Gregory Cooper Lowe, Brandi D'Lyn Bara, Brooke D'Lise Bara, Kristin Marie Abbott, Austin Brown Abbott, Christopher James Abbott and Alyssa Rose Abbott. Also survived by daughters in law, Joan Marie Roesler Abbott and Anita Carol Rose Abbott. Attended Rice Institute in Houston, Texas. Employed as a Laboratory Supervisor at Crown Central Petroleum, retired in 1974 after 47 years. One of 25 original members of the Pasadena Volunteer Fire Department, 1930 to 1974. Participated in the fire fighting during the Texas City, Texas disaster in April 1947. Longtime member of South Main Baptist Church, Pasadena, TX.
