Francis Christine Alexander "Chris" 80, passed away September 7, 2017 at her home.

She was born March 16, 1937 in Hope Mills, North Carolina, to James Albert and Lela Suggs Smith.

She married Ralph Jay Alexander October 3, 1959 in Vernal Utah. They had two daughters Betty Jo (Pat) Wilson, and Debbie Hatch.

Chris loved to crochet, quilting and knitting, hunting arrowheads being around the farm with her husband Jay. She always tried to help others, Her greatest joy was her family and friends. She loved bragging about her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Jay: daughter Betty Jo: Eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and a sister.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Debby Hatch.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday 10 am at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary Friends and Family may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 P.M. at the Mortuary and one hour prior to services.

Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of Blackburn and Sons Vernal Mortuary.
