John W. Grover, aged 62 years, of Jeddo, died suddenly at his home at 4:40 o'clock yesterday afternoon, of a heart attack. He had just returned from an automobile ride in company with his nurse and his niece, Miss Vivian Kummerer, of Drums. The deceased was well known in the city and on the North Side and was a member of the Elks' Lodge, the Odd Fellows Lodge, the P.O.S. of A., and the Woodmen of the World, all of Freeland; and a member of Emmanuel's Reformed church, this city, as well as the Stofflett Men's Bible Class, of that church. He was employed for years as chief coal inspector for the Jeddo-Highland Coal Company and on December 27, last, suffered a fractrue of the hip, when he fell on the ice as he was about to enter his automobile, an injury from which he never fully recovered. Surviving are his widow and the following brothers and sister: Harvey A. Grover, of Wilkes-Barre; Peter I. Grover, of Shickshinny; Samuel Grover, of Sybertsville, and Mrs. William Weirick, of Sunbury. Funeral services will be conducted at the late residence in Jeddo Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock and interment will be made in Mountain View cemetery.
