‎ ‎ ‎ Wayne L. Blakley, 83, of Twin Falls, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998, at the Magic Valley Regional Medical Center.
‎ ‎ ‎ Wayne was born July 20, 1914, at Buhl, the son of James N. and Nellie Moorhead Blakley. He attended schools at Maroa and graduated from Filer High School. He attended the Southern Idaho Branch of the University of Idaho in high school and college. Wayne played football. Following college Wayne worked in the Sun Valley area, later returning to Twin Falls where he worked in construction first for Jim Thompson and later for the Neilson-Miller Construction Co., where he worked for over 30 years. Wayne was a life member of the Twin Falls Elks Lodge No. 1183, where he was president of the Trustee, and was selected Elk of the year for 1987-88. Wayne was married to Alice Rambo on Oct. 18, 1941.
‎ ‎ ‎ Wayne is survived by his wife, Alice Blakley; a daughter, Janat Ellis, both of Twin Falls; a brother, Harold Blakley of Filer; a brother-in-law, Bill Rambo of Twin Falls; two grandchildren, Amanda Nelson, Tabatha Ellis and Danielle Ellis, all of Boise. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
‎ ‎ ‎ The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 1998, at the Reynolds Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Gary Gilman of the Filer Baptist Church officiating. Elks graveside rites will be conducted at Sunset Memorial Park.
