Irene M. (Anderson) Redman, daughter of Bert Austin Anderson and Minnie May Brandt Anderson, was born August 14, 1912 in DeKalb, Iowa. Irene attended country school in Decatur County near DeKalb. She was united in marriage to Ralph Harold Beer on August 16, 1930 in Chillicothe, Missouri, and one daughter, Sally, blessed their marriage. She and Ralph owned a restaurant and service station in Weldon. Irene worked at an airplane factory in California during World War II; she later worked at J.C. Penney in Osceola and Leon. Irene married George "Jack" Sampson Redman on November 15, 1957 in Osceola. She was a member of Van Wert Christian Church and a former member of the Order of Eastern Star in Weldon and Osceola. Irene M. (Anderson) Redman passed away March 6, 2007 at Ozark Care Center in Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of 94. Those left to mourn her passing are her daughter, Sally Moran and husband Orlin of Camdenton, Missouri; step sons, Carroll G. Redman (Janet) of Smithfield, N.C. and Floyd Wray Redman of Atascadero, CA; step daughter, Janice Ann Best (Kenneth) of Bakersfield, CA; sister-in-law, Louise Perry of Van Wert, IA; brother-in-law, Roland Redman & wife Betty of Van Wert, Iowa; other relatives and friends. Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ralph Beer and Jack Redman; brothers, Earl Anderson, Clarence Anderson, Willis Anderson, Harvey Anderson, Hepburn Anderson; and sisters, Mae Brand, Clyta Cox, Golda Sord. May they rest in peace. Visitation will be on Thursday; March 8, 2007 at the funeral home with family present from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday; March 9, 2007 at the funeral home. Following services burial will be at Van Wert Cemetery in Van Wert, Iowa.
