Vincent J. Brewer of Zealand, died April 3, 2001 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born at Stone Ridge on September 12, 1929, he was a son of the late Walter and Martha (Hanson) Brewer. Vincent is survived by a brother Arthur Brewer and his wife Betty, Mainstream; a sister, Anna Votour, New Bandon; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by seven brothers, Eulis, Arden, Ray, Royden, Ralph and Reginald Brewer and Oran Allen, six sisters, Della Carten, Verda Kinney, Mae Hanson, Arvella Hanson, Theresa Hagerman and Greta Haines. Resting at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Zealand, with visiting hours Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2001 from the church. Interment later at Stone Ridge Community Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be John, James and Peter Brewer. Active pallbearers will be Hazen McIntyre, Darrell Haines, Eric Haines, Edwin Haines, Murray Haines and Brian Haines.
