Represented Darlington County
in Constitutional Convention
Mr. J.O.A. Moore died last Saturday night, December 16, at the residence of his son-in-law, Mr. J. Parrott. Mr. Moore came to Darlington from Charleston about fifteen years ago and was engaged in the merchandise brokerage business here until a few months ago when he had to give up on account of ill health. At the time of his death he was upwards of seventy years of age. He represented Darlington County in the constitutional convention of 1895. The funeral service was conducted at the cemetery Sunday afternoon by Rev. D.M. Fulton. The following were pallbearers: J.W. Blackwell, W.M. Haynsworth, E.C. Lide, Frank Pegues, S.A. Woods, W.A. Parrott.
