Obituary for Clarence Creager

Clarence D. Creager, 95, of Chambersburg, and formerly of South Park Ave., Mercersburg, died September 9, 2017 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born July 28, 1922 at Mercersburg he was a son of the late Chester D. and Lillie K. Hornbaker Creager.
Clarence was a former employee of the Mercersburg Creamery and later Lowengart Company. He was last employed at the Tuscarora School District.
He was a member of First Church of God of Mercersburg, where he had been very active. Clarence had been attending Chambersburg Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, flowers, and gardening.
His wife, Agnes Hays Creager, whom he married November 9, 1940 died June 28, 2012.
Surviving family include two daughters, Pat C. Zitzman of Chambersburg and Nancy C. (Ron) Brant of Mercersburg. Three grandchildren, Douglas (Carolyn) Zitzman, Anita (James) Slemp, and Alicia (James) Kinton. Also surviving are six great grandchildren and a sister, Gladys Dorty of Spring Run.
In addition to his wife Clarence was preceded in death by a daughter, Delores Jean Creager, and siblings, Ethel Barkdoll, Laura Myers Nicarry, Mary Ebersole, Walter Creager and Betty Barkdoll.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM September 14th at First Church of God, Mercersburg, with Pastors John Cook and Kenny Craig officiating. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
Viewing 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg, and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
