Early Life: Lonnie was born February 2, 1949, in Browning, Montana, to Roger John Moran and Imelda Marie Johnson Moran. The family moved to Glasgow, Montana, where Lonnie grew up and attended Saint Raphael's Catholic School. He graduated from Glasgow High School in 1968.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: Lonnie, a United States Army veteran, served in Vietnam from 1970 to 1971. After returning, he worked at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal in Denver, Colorado. He then transferred to the Tooele Army Depot in 1977, retiring from the Arsenal in 2007. Lonnie married Vicky Kay Camp on September 2, 1978. They have two beautiful daughters. He was an avid outdoorsman and he loved taking family and friends camping, hunting, and fishing every chance he got. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, teaching them how to fish. Some of his favorite hobbies were woodworking, mining for sapphires and Dutch oven cooking. Lonnie James Moran, of Orem, Utah, passed away with his family by his side Sunday, September 10, 2017, after a long battle with cancer. He was 68.
Survived By: His wife; his daughters: Lacey Joan Moran and Jessie Kay Moran Burbank (Blake); and their three grandchildren: Teganne Rei, Jackson Blake and Oliver James Burbank; his siblings: Roger Moran, Linda Ritten (Dan), Glenda Gaddes (Rick), Mary Shipp (Lawrence), Kathy Hoffman (Ken); and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded In Death By: His parents and his youngest sister, Rebecca Joan Moran.
