She served her country as a nurse in the U.S. Army WAC during WWII. She and her late husband, Clebert were charter members of East Commerce Baptist Church and the Marshall County Square dancers. Lona retired from Oakwood Hall Nursing Home where she had worked for many years. She made Lewisburg her home for over sixty years and was recently living in Spring Hill at the Arbors of Willow Springs.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents, William Edward and Sarah Ada Shows Parrish; eldest son, Allen Glascock and sister, Linnie Lee Archey (1924-1994).
She is survived by one son, Carl (Kay) Glascock; granddaughter, Sarah (Cody) White; great grandson, Lawson White and sister, Anna Shuma.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery with military honors.
The family will be at London Funeral Home Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. for visitors.
