Passed away Friday, September 8, 2017 at the age of 86. Albert was born August 25, 1931 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Albert and Mildred (Hollobaugh) Mechling, Sr. Al was united in marriage to Marlene Wolff on August 30, 1956. Al served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from November of 1952 until honorably discharged in October of 1954. Al is survived by his wife, Marlene Mechling; daughters, Kimberle (Tim) Stuut and Michelle Cheesebro; 4 grandchildren, Autumnlyn, Ashlee (Cory), Tyler (Liz) and Tayelor; 3 great grandchildren; 3 step-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. A graveside service will take place on Friday, September 15th, 12:00pm at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. Those wishing to attend should arrive at the cemetery, in the family assembly area, between 11:45am and 12:00-noon. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Ave.
