Mrs. Dewalt taught school for 38 years mostly in the Madison County School System for Farmer's Capitol and Riverton Elementary. She loved reading, writing, doing puzzles, and pottery. But, most of all she loved being with family. Mrs. Dewalt was a member of Cross Pointe Church in Madison. Her love has planted a seed that will bear fruit for generations to come.
Mrs. Dewalt was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Dewalt; daughter Pam Allegood; grandson Cameron Hines; siblings: Cecil York, Margie Camp, Bo York, and Betty Sue Mullennix.
Survivors include her children, stepchildren, fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and a brother.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. Chapel service will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor John Dees officiating fol- lowed by burial at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
