Margaret Ann Sitton Funeral Held Here
Margaret Ann Sitton, member of a well known Yamhill county pioneer family, died at her home west of Carlton Friday at the age of 73.
Funeral services were held Monday at Macy's Chapel of the Flowers with the Rev. S.J. Osborne officiating at the rites. Interment was in the McBride cemetery.
Mrs. Sitton was born Nov. 25, 1865, at Newton, Iowa, the daughter of John C. and Sally Ann Scott. She came to McMinnville when she was eight years old and has spent the remainder of her life in Yamhill county. She was a member of the Methodist church. Mrs. Sitton died just 24 years to the day after the death of her husband, Fred D. Sitton.
She is survived by two sons, Frank F. Sitton, Carlton, and Charles E. Sitton, McMinnville.
