Married Martha Cranford abt. 1846 in Cherokee County, Alabama. They had eight children. The family moved to Itawamba County, Mississippi abt. 1854. Isom served in the Civil War with Co. B 1st Regiment Mississippi Infantry. Isom and Martha divorced in abt. 1875. He and his second wife, Mary "Polly T" Reese moved to Bell County, Texas near Rogers. He died in a fall repairing his chimney in 1897.
