HOSTETLER – Abe D. Hostetler, age 97, of Plain City, Ohio, died on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.He was born on April 17, 1920 in Madison County, Ohio. A be loved to farm and did so all of his life. He was a member of Sharon Mennonite Church for 75 years. Abe loved to share his faith in God and for many years went on mission trips to Haiti to help build orphanages for the children there. He was preceeded in death by his parents Dan and Sarah (Frey) Hostetler, stepmother Anna, wife Mary (2000),
daughter Cheryl Ann (1955) and son Michael (1961), brother Henry (Katie) Hostetler, sisters Alta (Mose) Mast, Fanny (John) Gingerich, Katie Ann(Levi) Zook, Mary (Freeman) Hostetler, Susie Hostetler and Sarah (Andy) Kurtz. Abe is survived by sons John (Rose) Hostetler, and Steve Hostetler;
grandchildren Brent, Sherry, Jessica and Jordan; great grandchildren, Dusty, Haley, Dylan and Lindsey;and sister Emma (Andy) Troyer of Bloomfield, Iowa. Funeral 3 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2017, with visitation 1 hr. prior to service at Sharon Mennonite Church, 7675 Amity Pike, Plain City, where the family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Thursday. Pastor Jared Chase officiating. Burial Sharon Mennonite Cemetery. Arrangements by FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, Plain City.
