YORK William E. Boring, 93, died Friday, March 9, 2007, at Autumn House West. He was the husband of the late Nora P. (Anderson) Boring. Mr. Boring started Boring's Garage in 1936 in North York. He moved the business to West Market Street as "Bill Boring's Used Cars" in 1953. His son, Dennis Boring, took over the business in 1979. Years ago, Bill enjoyed building and flying model airplanes. He also played the electric organ. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Born in York, on January 18, 1914, he was the son of the late Henry E. and Emma Jane (Eppley) Boring. He leaves a son, Dennis W. Boring and his wife, Charlene of York; a daughter, Nancy J. Reigart and her husband, Edward of York; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deanna M. Myers; a brother, Clyde H. Boring; and a sister, Grace R. Boring. Viewing will be 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2007, at the Koller Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 2000 W. Market St., York. The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Skip, of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Entombment will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.
