Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday April 26, 2005, at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, for Helen Marie Stevens, 81, of Cambridge, who died Friday (April 22, 2005) at Southeastern Med, Cambridge.
She was born Nov. 1, 1923, in Guernsey County, daughter of the late John W. Wolfe Sr. and Edna (Hill) Wolfe.
Mrs. Stevens was a homemaker. She was an employee of the Suitt Brothers Chair Factory and Salt Fork Lodge.
She was a Pentecostal by faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Stevens, on April 10, 2001. They were married Nov. 16, 1945. Also deceased was a son, Charles Lee Stevens; a brother, Harold Wolfe; and a sister, Dorothy Delforge.
She leaves a daughter, Rebecca A. (Jimmie Sr.) Nealey of Cambridge; four brothers, Charles (Marge) Wolfe, John W. Jack Wolfe II, Russell (Mary) Wolfe and Roy (Evelyn) Wolfe, all of Cambridge; five sisters, Thelma Winn, Wilma Ross, Violet (Dick) Gattrel and Gladys (Donny) Harper, all of Cambridge, and Edna Slifko of Byesville; four grandchildren, Rhonda (John) Smith, Rick (Kathy) Nealey, Jimmie Nealey Jr. and Ryan Nealey; and eight great-grandchildren.
