Cantrell, Duel F., 89, retired school superintendent and veteran, died Thursday in Tulsa. Visitation 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Rice Funeral Service; service 10 a.m. Monday, Blue Starr Church of Christ; and graveside service 2 p.m. Monday, Stilwell Cemetery, Stilwell. Tulsa World

Duel Floy (D. F.) Cantrell, son of Charlie C. and Ollie Bell (Sumpter) Cantrell was born on May 27th, 1928 in Bunch Oklahoma. He grew up on farms in Hulbert and Stilwell, Oklahoma along with his 1 sister; Uldean, and 3 brothers; Kenneth, Junior and Charles.

He served in the Army and Army National Guard for 5 years.

He devoted his life to Public Education as a Teacher, Principal and Superintendent for 26 years. He also held other jobs as Carpenter, Butcher, School Bus Driver, Handyman and Semi Truck Driver to support his family.

He was a loving Husband, Father and Grandpa. He was a good Christian man who served as a Teacher, Deacon and Elder at the Churches of Christ where he lived.

D.F. was preceded in death by his parents; Charlie and Ollie Cantrell, wife; Lowanda Cantrell, three brothers Kenneth, Junior and Charles Cantrell, one sister Uldean Cantrell Hill, one nephew Dale Hill, and one infant grandson; Devin Cantrell.

D.F. was survived by a loving family that includes his daughters; Rita Cantrell Morris of Rose, Ok, Jayne Cantrell and husband Thomas Jackson of Claremore, Ok, his son; David Cantrell and wife Terri of Claremore, Ok , his foster son; David Trentham of California, grandchildren: Ronny Morris of Utah, Danita Morris of Tahlequah, Ok, Chelsea, Brittany, Sierra and Daniel Cantrell all from Claremore, Ok, Aaron, Sara and Josh Shaw all from Claremore, Ok, great grandchildren: Logan, Alex, Sto and Vy Morris, Foreign Exchange Children: Caroline Holmgaard, Silla Pirinen, Charlotte Zimmermann, Frida Haukanes and Nana Khachidze. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive him.
