Ruth E. Fiesbeck Burns Burbrink, 96, of Columbus, died early on the morning of Monday, September 4, 2017, at her home. Ruth was born in Columbus on February 3, 1921, the daughter of Robert and Laura Voelz Fiesbeck. She married Lt. Forrest Steele Burns Jr., on February 24, 1946. He served and died in the Korean War. She later married Donald C. Burbrink, on October 30, 1971. He preceded her in death on June 28, 2010. During WWII, she worked at Arvin Industries for five years. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, the Mary Martha Circle, the Couples Club and she assisted with the church's Evangelism Committee. She especially loved horses and she was an outstanding cook, specializing in pies, noodles, and applesauce. She is survived by her children, Julie Malson of Columbus, Tom(Lisa)Burns of Columbus, Ruth Ann(Tom)Gallant of Columbus, Mark Burbrink of Columbus and Carol Beth(Ned) Jerabek of Santa Fe, NM; grandchildren, Devin Malson of Columbus,Jasmin Burns(Josh)Cundiff of Louisville, KY, Thomas (Erica)Gallant of Onalaska, WI, Donald(Beth Ann)Gallant of La Crosse, WI, Beth Jerabek(Jesse Pyeatt) of Hong Kong and Jill Jerabek of Albuquerque, NM; great-grandchildren, McKoi Cundiff, Mia and Kai Gallant and Ursula Pyeatt. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, sisters, Lenora Miller and Dorothy VanArsdall, brother, Robert Fiesbek, and son, Roy Burbrink. The funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark R. Teike officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. toservice time at the church. Burial will followat Garland Brook Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.myers-reed.com.
