Mrs. Burk was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pearisburg and was a member of the Anne S. Hoilman Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Burk was survived by her husband, Kyle Burk of Pearisburg; one son, Richard J. Burk of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; one daughter, Kathy R. Burk of Lynchburg; four sisters, Janie Hicks of Milton, Fla., Margaret Coulter of Lindside, W.Va., Deleene Bingham of Springboro, Ohio, Sallie Dowdy of Christiansburg; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 1, 1997 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Pearisburg, Va., with the Rev. Freddrick L. Long and the Rev. Judith W. Long officiating, with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home in Pearisburg Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
