Council Bluffs News - Christian Heaston died at one o'clock yesterday afternoon of congestion of the lungs. He was born February 29, 1818, near Dayton, Ohio, and has been a resident of Iowa since 1856, and of Pottawattamie county for twenty-three years, the last eight of which were in this city. The funeral will take place from the residence of his son, Albert Heaston, No. 929 Avenue C, but the time has not yet been decided upon.

Council Bluffs News - The funeral of Christopher Heaston will take place at 11 o'clock this forenoon from the residence of his brother, No. 929 Avenue C. The remains will be interred in Crescent cemetery. The deceased was one of the charter members of the order of Mutual Protectionists in this county, and the order will attend the funeral services in a body.
