Mary Davison McLamore was born January 7, 1835, in Monroe County, Alabama, the oldest of eight children born to
Hugh Davison and Samatha Gladys Davison. The family moved to Lauderdale County, Mississippi between 1846-1848, and eventually to Winn Parrish, Louisiana around 1855-1860.

Mary married Richard Seth McLamore in Mississippi around 1851-1852, and to this union was born 13 children, Olivia J, Samantha F, William T, Hughy Steth, Eilza A, Lillian, George W, Ella L,
Mary Elizabeth McLamore Collins Charles T, Sina T, Arthur C and Melissa.


Richard and Mary spent their remaining years in Winn Parrish, Lousiana, raising their family. Mary kept the family together while Richard was serving in the army during the Civil War.

Mary died December 31, 1885 and was laid to rest in Mount Zion Cemetery, Wheeling, Winn Parrish, Lousiana.
