The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30 at Saint Mark AME Zion Church, 114 West Virgil Street. Burial, with military honors, will be in Millican Cemetery. Viewing will be held from noon-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29 at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville and Friday, Oct. 30 one hour prior to the service at the church. There will be no viewing after the service.
Surviving are his wife, Eva Elaine Pridgen; two sons, Morris D. Pridgen Jr. of Whiteville and Brian Scott Pridgen of Durham; two sisters, Louise P. Turner of Whiteville and Doris P. Epps of Centreville, Ill.; and one brother, H. Daniel Pridgen of Washington, DC.
