"Charles Lewis Ropp, 84, Kansas City, Kan., died Thursday in a nursing home in Winchester, Kan. He was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Ropp was a truck driver for 42 years for the Interstate Transfer and Storage Co. before he retired in 1965. He was a member of Local 498 of the Teamsters union. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Florence M. Ropp of the home; a son, Charles E. Ropp of Kansas City; a sister, Mrs. Rose Hilliard of Kansas City, Kan.; and a granddaughter. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Fulton-Nickel Chapel; burial in White Chapel Cemetery." The Kansas City Times, January 4, 1985
