SHELBY — Mrs. Thelma L. Allen, 99, died Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at Crawley Memorial Hospital.
A native of Gaston County, she was a homemaker and a member of Dover Baptist Church, where she was in the Dorcas-Esther Sunday school class.
She was preceded in death by parents, Felix Lynn and Ida Swearington Lynn; her husband, Fred Allen; a daughter, Annette Webb; sons, Jerry Allen and Ben Allen; brothers, Fred Lynn, Crown Lynn and Mott Lynn; and sisters, Louise Blanton, Virginia Allison and Frances Mosteller.
She is survived by a daughter, grandson, great-granddaughter and a number of nieces and nephews.
Burial: Cleveland Memorial Park
