Bill, 87, died surrounded by dear friends and three generations of his family, at Hospice of the Valley, Friendship Village.

He was the son of Russell and Mary (Stinebaugh) Ferrall. On Jun 28, 1947, he married Jean Eleanor Wildermuth, who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Timothy, Jonathan and Andrew Farrell; two daughters-in-law, Vicki (Bray) and Judy Sharkey; and four grandchildren, Beth (Greenberg), Heather (Kircher), Carson and Siobhan; and a great-granddaughter, Paige (Kircher).

Deceased are a daughter, Kristine; a brother, Robert Ferrall; and a sister, Dorothy Grose.

He was a graduate of Lima South High School. After serving in the European Theater of World War II with the U.S. Army, he earned a bachelor's degree in commerce from Ohio University and began a 35-year career as an accountant. After moving his family to Arizona in 1958, his lifelong love of choral music found expression in five decades of performance there, beginning with the Orpheus Male Chorus of Phoenix and later with Orpheus Emeritus and The Choralairs. Overseas tours with Orpheus kindled a love for new places, and he traveled extensively with his wife after he retired from Salt River Project in 1986. A man of faith, he was an active member of Scottsdale United Methodist Church for 53 years. He also spent 17 years volunteering with the Scottsdale HealthCare Auxiliary. A consummate gentleman always, his wit, sense of style, devotion to service and love of God and family will be remembered by those who knew him.

A memorial service will be at Messinger Mortuary, Scottsdale, Ariz.
