John A. Drylie, 77, Glen Campbell RD 1, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 1972, in the Altoona General Hospital.
A son of Peter and Christine McPherson Drylie, he was born June 22, 1895, in Larimer, Westmoreland County.
Prior to his retirement in 1960, Mr. Drylie had been an employee of the Edgar Thompson Works of U.S. Steel at Braddock.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Tanoma and Steelworkers Local 1219.
Surviving are his widow, Olive Randolph Drylie; five daughters: Mrs. Fred Berkoven, Wilmerding; Mrs. Anthony Laurito and Mrs. Robert Reed, both of Monroeville; Mrs. Christine Meyers, Delmont; Mrs. Marie Crocker, Sheffield; three sons: John, El Centro Calif; Kenneth, Oklahoma City, Okla; Jeffrey, Pittsburgh; 31 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Friends are being received from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. today where Memorial service will be held at 9:30 p.m. today. The Rev. Clarence Shaffer will officiate.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Jones Funeral Home in Wilmerding where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Clifford Moore will officiate and interment will be made in Rest Land Memorial Park in Monroeville.
