She and Dosser are parents of: Doris Lula Metcalf (my mother)(March 1933-September 2005), who married Max Zelf Porche; R.D. Metcalf, (March 1930- )who married Mildred Ponder; Kelly Metcalf (1933- )who married Eva (last name unknown); Vaughn Metcalf (1935-37 - 1992)(never married); June Metcalf (May 8, 1939 - March 16, 1987- Hendersonville),who married Perry Robinson of Madison County, then Rodney Orr of Hendersonville; Ellis Metcalf (never married) (born 1942 and died April 1972); Theda "Teddi" Metcalf (8 February 1947- ), who married Bill Kiser in Maiden, NC; and Sharon Darlene Metcalf (1949- ), who married Danny Finger, then Tony Reynolds in Lincolnton, NC.
