Mr. Leonard Isaac Hays died in Barnesville, Montgomery county, of apoplexy, yesterday morning, in the 63rd year of his age. He was a progressive farmer, one of the originators of the Barnesville Grange and took a prominent part in organizing the County National Bank of Rockville, of which he was a director. He was a vestryman of Christ Protestant Episcopal church of Barnesville from the time it was dedicated. His ancestors served in the vestry of St. Peter's Parish, Montgomery county, from the date of its organization in 1799. His great-grandfather was a pioneer in the Barnesville section and owned large tracts of land in that neighborhood even before the date of the creation of the county. In October, 1888, he married Miss Mary White. He leaves three children.
