Dahlia Margaret Thiesen, the daughter of John H., and Anna Marie Diedrich Thiesen, was born February 7, 1895, near Sutherland Iowa; and departed from this life, while a patient in the hospital in Hartley, Iowa, December 28, 1966.

She attended the rural schools near her farm home where she lived until 1917, at which time she moved with her parents into Sutherland., She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and three brothers, Albert, Herman and William.

Among those who survive are three brothers, Rudolph Thiesen of Lakefield, Minn., Harry C. Thiesen of Sutherland, Iowa, and John F. Thiesen of Colorado Springs, Colo:; two sisters, Miss Ella Thiesen and Mrs. Amanda Priegnitz of Sutherland and other relatives.

Funeral services, under the direction of Baumgartens, were held in the Sutherland Methodist Church, Saturday, December 31, 1966. The Rev. Warren A. Bintz was in charge. Interment was in the Waterman Cemetery.
