BELFAST — Carol Louise Ash passed away Jan. 3, 2016, after a brief battle with cancer. She was born Nov. 17, 1950, in Burnham.

At the age of 2, Carol moved to Searsport, where she resided with her loving foster family. She attended Searsport schools and was an active member of the North Searsport Methodist Church. In 1987 Carol moved to Belfast.

Over the years Carol was employed at Ames Department Store, Stinson’s Seafood Company and Little River Apparel. She enjoyed meeting new friends wherever she went.

She loved Christmas, babies, her cats and watching her favorite teams on television - the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. Carol had been an active member of the Little River Baptist Church, where she loved attending Bible study and helping in the nursery. She loved being with her friends, bowling, playing tennis and going to fairs and festivals. Everyone knew Carol's strong work ethic, warm smile, infectious laugh and her eagerness to please. But most of all Carol will be remembered for her kind and gentle heart.

She was predeceased by her foster parents, Charles and Eva Seekins of Searsport. Carol leaves behind a very special friend, Chris Boynton of Belfast. She will also be sadly missed by many beloved family members and friends.

There will be a service for Carol on Saturday, Jan. 16 at 11 a.m at Little River Baptist Church of Belfast.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to P.A.W.S. Animal Adoption Center, 146 Camden St., Rockport, ME 04856.

Arrangements are by Riposta Funeral Home.
