Ollie Lowrance, a resident of Sulphur was born September 21, 1922 in Bower Community Pittsburg County, Oklahoma to George B. & Ada (Pearce) Aaron.

She passed away Sunday August 27, 2017 at Sulphur, Oklahoma at the age of 94 years 11 months and 6 days.

She was married to the love of her life Oscar Lowrance, Jr at Gainesville, TX on June 1, 1946. He preceded her in death January 21, 2005.

Ollie lived most of her life in the Sulphur area. She graduated from Sulphur High School in 1942.

Ollie joined the military, the Women's Army Air Corp, during WWII as a Pilot Weather Briefer. She served in the China-Burma-India Theater during WWII and was discharged in December 1945. She received the Good Conduct Medal and the China-Burma-India Ribbon.

Upon her return home, Ollie became active in the community. She was a member of the OHCE and the Helping Hand Club since 1950. She held the office of OHCE County President and County Chaplain as well as serving on many committees.

She served with the Murray County Election Board for many years, until her retirement in 1991. She had worked as a volunteer for the several community programs, including a volunteer with the Oklahoma Veterans Center and the Chickasaw Sr. Citizens.

She was a longtime member of the Calvary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and Bible School classes, and was director of the Junior Department.

In her later years, she became a member of First Freewill Baptist Church.

She had worked in the office of Arbuckle Memorial Hospital and later for Drs. Roland and Sharon Bailey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother: Arnold Aaron, a sister: Earnestean Brieger.

Survived by: Daughters & Sons-in-law: Marilyn Bearden & Billy, of Sulphur, OK;
Sue Ann Kidd & Billy, of Addington, OK

Son & Daughter-in-law: Phillip Lowrance & Tanya, of Sulphur, OK

Sister: Johnnie Mobly, of Sulphur, OK

7 Grandchildren: Chris, Aaron, Phillip,Jr, Natalia,, Tyler, Brittney, & Brian

5 Great Grandchildren: Lily, Colt, Lexee, Kyler, Kaden

Pallbearers will be Grandchildren

Donations may be made in memory of Ollie to the Youth Funds at First Freewill Baptist Church, Calvary Baptist Church, or American Legion Post 148 in Sulphur.

Services will be held Wednesday August 30, 2017 at 1:00PM at the First Free Will Baptist Church officiated by Rev . Dick Terry.

Burial will be at Lowrance Cemetery under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home

The visitation will be from 5pm to 7pm Tuesday August 29 at the DeArman Funeral Home
