Louise E. Beaver, 91, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Heritage Hospice.

She was born on April 12, 1926 in Springfield, the daughter of the late Jesse Blaine and Hallie Mae (Mowry) Benedict. She married Leslie W. Beaver and he preceded her in death on May 20, 1994.

Louise retired from the IL Secretary of State's Office in 1991. She had been a member of 1st Christian Church in Springfield.

She is survived by a brother Clifford (wife Sheila) Benedict of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and her husband Leslie, she was preceded in death by a son Charles G. Walker, Jr.; her longtime companion Theodore "Bud" Miner; 7 brothers; and 3 sisters.

Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield, where visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 11:30 am until time of the funeral service at 12:30pm. Rev. Rick Irwin will officiate the funeral service. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield.
