Born April 3, 1934 in Yeagertown, a son of the late Richard R. and Ellie (Shepherd) Albright. He was united in marriage to Betty P. Albright on June 22, 1963. Betty resides at their home.
He is survived by his children, James R. Albright & wife Gina of Harrisburg; Ellen & husband Herbert V. Drawbaugh III, of Middletown, grandchildren, Nicholas Drawbaugh, Rebecca J. Albright, step-grandchildren, Herbert V. Drawbaugh IV & wife Tiffany, and Anthony Drawbaugh a brother, Carl Albright & wife Mary of Camp Hill; and two sisters, Joanne Naylor of Baltimore, and Carol Swineford & husband John of Lewistown as well as a number of special nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan D. Albright on September 22, 2013.
Richard served in the United States Army and taught in the Bald Eagle and Central Dauphin School Districts. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Harrisburg, a member of Harrisburg Lodge #629 F&AM and Jaffa Shrine Temple of Altoona. He enjoyed going to the beach and the pool as well as gardening.
A graveside service will be private and at the convenience of the family with Rev. Jeffrey Fisher officiating at GreenLee Cemetery in McAlevy's Fort. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Calvary United Methodist Church with Dr. Ronald Parks officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Henderson Funeral Home, 3813 West Main St., Belleville, PA.
