Mildred L. Serrell-Stenberg, 86, formerly of Stone Mountain Lane, died Friday at Fogarty Memorial Hospital.
She was the widow of Nels G. Stenberg.
Born in Herkimer, N.Y., a daughter of the late George L. and Helen (Garside) Wood, she lived in Coventry for 40 years.
Mrs. Stenberg was a self-employed hairdresser until 1940. She was a past worthy matron of Ionia Chapter 17 OES, and a member of the Mayflower Society. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, and Moswanicut Chapter of BAR.
She is survived by a daughter, a brother, two sisters, two grandchildren and eight great-granddaughters.
