Telfain Bacot "Tuffy" Seaton Adler Hobson
January 7, 1918 – August 14, 2017

Shreveport – Telfain "Tuffy" Seaton was born January 7, 1918 to Charles and Winona Seaton in San Angelo, Texas. Her family moved to Shreveport when she was a child. She graduated from Byrd High School in 1935 and continued living in Shreveport the remainder of her life. Tuffy passed away peacefully at the age of 99 at her Huron Street home in Shreveport on August 14, 2017.

Tuffy was married to Sam Adler and later to Colonel Lincoln "Linc" Hobson, US Army Retired. She was preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands, her sister Virginia Sandifer, and her brother Charles Seaton. She is survived by her three sons, Allen Adler of Memphis TN, Brandley Alder of Hendersonville TN, and Terry Adler of Seminole FL, as well as six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Tuffy is remembered as fun-loving, lively, vivacious, and a stunning beauty. She loved traveling and seeing the world, especially via cruises and group tours where she made many friends. She had a special love for the Asian art and antiques Linc collected while serving on the staff of General of the Army Douglas MacArthur and tended to it with care. Tuffy enjoyed hosting Wideman Piano competitors in her home and loved listening as they practiced on her grand piano. She also enjoyed going to symphonies, live theaters, operas, and other cultural activities while at home and when traveling.

Special thanks is given to all caregivers tending Tuffy in her home in later years.

A private graveside service will be held at Forest Park Cemetery Saturday September 23. Afterwards a memorial gathering for any friend and family will be held at 11:30am at 632 Dudley Drive.

Married 2nd husband, Oliver Lincoln "Linc" Hobson, Col. US Army, Ret., in 1964.
Linc preceded Tuffy in death.
