"Mrs Lora Briggs Hesch, 70, of 507 Bank St, died at 3 pm Saturday at Mercy Hospital in Miami, Fla, where she had been admitted at noon for treatment after she suffered a heart attack. Mrs Hesch had gone to Florida on Nov 18 to spend the winter. A daughter, Mrs William Radack, who accompanied her on the trip south, returned on Friday, leaving her mother in her usual good health. The attack occurred suddenly after Mrs Hesch had eaten lunch on Saturday. She was born in Warren, Pa, on June 3, 1883, a daughter of S H and Ida Johnson Briggs. She was a graduate of Warren High School. On June 6, 1905, she was married in Warren by Rev Joseph Sieverding to Frank C Hesch, who died a few years ago. She was a member of St Titus' Church and the Catholic Daughters of America, and was a past grand regent and a past district deputy of that organization. She is survived by the following children: Mrs Raymond Crowley of Titusville, Mrs William Radack of Jamestown, NY, Russell J Hesch of Mt Pleasant, Mich, Raymond F Hesch of the Panama Canal Zone and Frank C Hesch Jr of Pittsburgh. A son, Paul Hesch, was killed in service during World War II. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs Lucia Phillips of Orlando, Fla, and four brothers, Gaylord Briggs of Orlando, Fla, Lyle Briggs of Tidioute, Raymond Briggs of Philadelphia and Willis Briggs of Miami, Fla. The body will arrive in Pittsburgh at 4:55 pm Tuesday and will be taken to the Tracy home of funerals where friends may call....The funeral service will be held at 9 am Thursday at St Titus' Church with Rt Rev Msgr James F Hopkins officiating. Interment will be in St Catharine's Cemetery."
