William C. Raupp was born on April 26, 1934 in Palatine to Frank and Helen (née Lumpp) Raupp. He died Wednesday, August 23, 2017 in Mount Prospect.

William worked as a truck driver for Charles Levy in Chicago for over 40 years, in which he delivered The Chicago Tribune and The Chicago Sun Times. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. William loved gardening and woodworking. He had a long-lasting love for John Deere. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and was loved by all.

William is survived by his spouse of 61 years, Joan (née Steffen); daughter, Cynthia (Richard) Raupp Barnett; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Colleen, Laura, and Mitchell Barnett; siblings, Margaret Sullivan, Frederick Raupp, Matthias Raupp, Mary Ann Nolen, James Raupp, Louis Raupp, Frances Richert, Janice Geffert, Ellen Bierman, and Annette Whitney; brother-in-law, Frances "Jim" Steffen; sister-in-law, Patricia Philips; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, William Clark Raupp; his parents; brothers, Henry, Francis, and John Raupp; and sister-in-laws, Virginia "Ginny" Turk and Susan Koehler.

Visitation: Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., and Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL. Prayers: 9:15 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2017 at the funeral home, proceeding to St. Mary Parish, 10 North Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove, IL, for a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
