MRS. IRENE MANTHEI; CATHEDRAL SERVICES IN CITY SET
Funeral services for Mrs. Irene Manthei, 74, who died Tuesday at the home of a daughter in Port Washington, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, Very Rev. John E. Gulick, dean officiating. Burial will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
A resident of North Fond du Lac from 1900 to 1965, when she moved to Port Washington, Mrs. Manthei was born Nov. 13, 1892, in St. Cloud, Minn., the daughter of Charles and Julia Chapman Gould. She was married to Gustave R. Manthei Aug. 6, 1919. He died July 20, 1963. Mrs. Manthei was a member of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, American Legion Auxiliary and Ladies Society of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Edward Adams, Port Washington; one son, Donald, Formosa; one brother, Clyde Gould, Denver, Colo.; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
