The marriage of Manie Pape to George Pearson occurred May 26th in Salt Lake City where the bride's sister, Mrs Alvin Pearson resides. Mrs Pearson is the oldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Arthur Pape and has grown up in our midst. George Pearson is the nephew of Mrs N P Johnson and a graduate of our rural school so he too is well known in our community. Both have many friends and well wishers.

JOLLY NEIGHBORS MEETING
The last meeting of the Jolly Neighbors was held at the home of Arthur Pape with Mrs Mamie Pearson as Hostess. The two brides Mrs Mamie Pearson and Mrs Dorthy Taylor, were generously showered with gifts an a bounteous package was mailed to our third bride Mrs Eileen Pearson. Mrs. Josephine Jons resigned her position as president and Mrs Homer Payne was elected in her place. A lovely cool lunch added much pleasure to the hot day.

LANDER Services for Mayme Esther Antilla, 79, will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church in Lander by Rev. Don Johnson. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Kemmerer Cemetery by Rev. Vernon Bohlke of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Kemmerer. Mrs. Antilla died Sept. 7, 1989, of natural causes at Lander Regional Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 15, 1910, in Hepler, Kansas, to Arthur F. and Lena (Attkisson) Pape. On Aug. 15, 1929, in Sandy, Utah, she married George M. Pearson who preceded her in death on 1965. She then married Neilo Antilla in Kemmerer on June 28, 1969; he preceded her in death in May 1978.

Mrs. Antilla was employed at Lincoln County Memorial Hospital for many years as a nurse. She had lived in Kemmerer from 1942 to 1986 when she moved to Lander and worked at the Health Care Center at the Wyoming State Training School. She also was a member of the Foster Grandparents Program at the school.

Survivors include two children, George A. Pearson Jr. of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Robert Pearson of Shawnee, Kansas; two brothers, Arthur Pape of Montana and Leslie Pape of Lander; two sisters, Venita Jamison of Lander and Katherine Pearson of Daniel, Wyo.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Hudson Funeral Home of Lander is in charge of arrangements.
